Load / Installing sample packs

Installing:  When you first install Beat Discovery, 3 sample packs will come installed with it. When you buy a Beat Discovery license, you will get another installer that will install 9 more sample packs.  Follow the steps to install the packs.  If you’re installing premium sample packs you’ve purchased, simply unzip the file, and add the Sample Pack folder to the BeatDiscovery/SamplePacks directory.

For MAC: copy folders to /Users/yourname/Documents/BeatDiscovery/SamplePacks

For PC: copy folders to c:\Users\yourname\Documents\BeatDiscovery\SamplePacks\

Loading: Loading sample packs are easy. Simply click the LOAD tab, hover a sample pack and click Load. All of the sounds and patterns will load automatically. You can even load just the patterns, or just the sounds, so you can mix and match sample packs to get some unique results.  If you buy sample packs individually, all you need to do is unzip the pack, then drag and drop the sample pack folder into the correct directory.

For MAC: copy folders to /Users/yourname/Documents/BeatDiscovery/SamplePacks

For PC: copy folders to c:\Users\yourname\Documents\BeatDiscovery\SamplePacks\

Beat Discovery should automatically select the correct directory where all of your Sample Packs are stored.  If you click LOAD on Beat Discovery, and there are no Sample Pack image covers shown, simply click the OPTIONS button located on the right, on the same line as the directory address bar, and locate the BeatDiscovery\SamplePacks directory, then click the Sample Packs directory, then click open.  This will tell Beat Discovery to show all packs within that directory, and you should be able to see all of your packs within the LOAD view of Beat Discovery.  Also, if you choose to have your Sample Packs in different directories, and want to load them, simply point the address bar in the LOAD view to the directory of where the Sample Packs are.
